Question Time

    Every weekend I will have a blog post where I ask and answer questions.  It is a good way for readers to get to know more about me and also help me to get feedback on a number of questions. Today I answer Question 6.  asked by Jamie from Love Bakes Good Cakes who passed on the Liebster award to me. Do you think you are like your mother? Oh yes, many persons say I resemble her. I also think I am reserved and share a lot of her values.
     I am also participating in Friendship Friday hosted by Create With Joy where this week the theme is Dogs.

    What is your favourite breed of dog?  My pets have always been dogs over the years and I am hardly without a fox terrier.
    What is your favourite dog book/movie? I do not think I have a favourite one. However I can't forget the television show 'Lassie.'

Bird Figurine Series - # 27

      
    Janine and I were so thrilled when these small bird figurines arrived all the way from France many years ago. The advantage of having birds of this size is that it has not been difficult to find space for them in our packed display unit.

Fried Chicken with Paprika

   Over the years fried chicken was always a favourite dish of my twin and me. I still love it and fried some recently using Paprika. I love the flavour of Paprika. This is how I prepared it.

Ingredients

Pack of mixed parts chicken

1 Onion

Stalk of Escallion

4 pegs of garlic

1 pepper

Paprika

Flour

Cooking Oil

Method

1. Remove skin from chicken and wash with lime and water

2. Season chicken with onion, escallion, garlic and pepper

3. Mix some paprika and flour

4. Coat each piece of chicken with the paprika and flour

5. Hot the oil in a frying pan and add chicken

6. Brown chicken on both sides

Question Time

Today I answer Question 5 asked by Jamie from Love Bakes Good Cakes who passed on the Liebster award to me. What's one thing that other people do that drive you nuts? When they ill-treat human beings and animals.
     I am also participating in Friendship Friday hosted by Create With Joy where this week the theme is Preferences. 

1.What do you prefer: Printed Books or E-books?  I prefer printed books. There is nothing like the smell of a book and turning those pages. Nevertheless I have come to appreciate E-books and have read good ones.
2. What do you prefer: Desktop Computers, Laptops or Tablets?  Over the years I have had only desktops but hopefully I should have a laptop in the near future. One thing for sure I will be able to move around easily with a laptop!

Bird Figurine Series - #26

        Janine and I have always been fascinated by hummingbirds and were always thrilled to see the national bird of Jamaica, The Jamaican Streamer Tail Hummingbird. For a long time we rarely saw him and I can remember the last time when we were so surprised to see one perched on our veranda gate. Oh how I wish we had our camera nearby.  We have always wanted to have figurines of this bird in our collection. To date it is not yet in the collection but happily I have items featuring it including the candlesticks below.

              Well, I could not have such a huge collection without some hummingbirds.
