Those are such beautiful and bright flowers!! I love yellow...it makes you feel so happy!! I bet they smell wonderful. The flowers we saw when we were in Jamaica were so pretty! I hope you're having a great day, Judy! Sending lots of love and wishing you a wonderful rest of your Tuesday! Xoxox Maria
Thanks Maria! Can you believe that these flowers turn into pumpkins?! My Tuesday is going fine. Enjoy the rest of your day. Lots of Love, Friendship and Best Wishes to you, Steve and Beano.
Hello Judy. I can only dream in February of such beautiful pumpkin plants. I will keep leafing through my garden magazines for now. Thanks for sharing :)
Alas, these seem to all be the Male Flowers!! The female flowers, have what will become the fruit (Pumpkin) which is a small round/elongated fruit just below the base of the flower. To almost guarantee a pumpkin, grab a small brush, brush the anthers where the pollen is on these flowers, then find the femail, and brush the stamen... There should be 4-5 anthers whilst only a single stamen!!!
Thanks for the information Bernie. We have gotten several pumpkins from our farm and backyard over the years. It is interesting about the male and female flowers. Happy WW!
What beautiful flowers! I didn't know Pumpkin plants had flowers. Do they smell like pumpkins? Or a sweet smell? Hmmm Learn something new every day! Thanks for sharing. Have a great day!
Ah, there is nothing like a good pumpkin patch! Is this picture current? Our growing seasons couldn't be any different! You wouldn't see a pumpkin here for another six months at least. Thanks for hosting Judy! Have a great week.

We attempted growing pumpkins one year and one perfect little pumpkin grew, and then an animal stole it :(
Happy WW :)
