Question Time

Every weekend I will have a blog  post where I ask and answer questions.  It is  a good way for readers to get to know more about me and also helps me to get feedback on a number of questions.  What song are you listening to over and over these days?  Recently I saw the video of the song 'Overcomer' by Mandisa on Jamerican Spice's Blog.  The lyrics are great and so helpful for me at this time.

As usual I am participating in Friendship Friday hosted by Create With Joy where the theme this week is Back To School.  Would you like to go 'Back To School' to pursue a degree or some enrichment classes?  It would be interesting pursuing further studies. Recently I have even been thinking of learning Spanish online.  Most schools reopen during the first week of September in Jamaica. I am not a parent but it is a busy and expensive time for parents. For parents, How does it feel to send your children 'Back To School?'  If you have ever returned to school after a long absence, what was the experience like? In Jamaica children wear school uniforms.  Below is a picture of Janine and me in our 6th form uniforms many years ago.

Question Time

Every weekend I will have a blog post where I ask and answer questions.  It is a good way for readers to get to know more about me and also helps me to get feedback on a number of questions.  Can you play an instrument?  If not, given the chance what instrument would you like to play?  My twin and I played the recorder in school.  Howerver  I do not remember a thing now. We did piano lessons at Prepartory School but not for long. Given the chance to play an instrument I would probably take piano lessons again and even try the guitar.
As usual I am participating in Friendship Friday hosted by Create With Joy where this week the theme is Games. What are your favourite board games?  Snakes and Ladders, Luddo, Draughts, Race Through Space etc. My twin and I used to play these games a lot.  What are your favourite games systems/games (Wii, Xbox, Playstation etc.?  Strangely enough I have not played any of these games yet.  What other types of game-like activities do you do for fun? I used to play a game on my phone called Snake Xenzia. However I have not played it recently.

Question Time

Every weekend I will have a blog post where I ask and answer questions.  It is a good way for readers to get to know more about me and also helps me to get feedback on a number of questions.  Do you spend more time listening to the radio or watching television?  I spend far more time listening to the radio than watching television. When I am not listening to a talk show I am taking in some good music on my favourite programmes.
As usual I am participating in Friendship Friday hosted by Create With Joy where this week the theme is Music. Who are your favourite musical artistes?  That could be such a long list for me - Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, The Bee Gees, Whitney Houston, Lionel Richie, Olivia Newton John etc. Do you have a favourite song or album of all time?  Not really but I have bought several of Jamaican reggae legend Bob Marley's albums. Are you attending any concerts this summer?  I am not good in large crowds but if a concert or any musical show is on television I will be sure to watch it. What musical competitions do you watch on television? A Jamaican reality show, Digicel Rising Stars.  I can hardly wait for this season to start.  It is similar to American idol.

Musical Memories

Here I am reminiscing on how much my twin sister Janine and I loved a wide variety of music. This specially comes to mind with the passing of 3 of our favourite singers in recent times - Whitney Houston, Donna Summer and Robin Gibbs of the Bee Gees. We liked so many of the songs from these singers. This month also brings back memories of Jamaica's late reggae super star Bob Marley who passed away some 31 years ago on May 11, 1981.
I continue to love music and listen to a lot of it on the radio and watch my favourite music shows on weekends.  As Bob Marley once said " One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain."
