Please Bloom Again!

I was determined to get new flowers in my garden this year and was happy that I succeeded with some of them. I especially liked this beautiful bloom which stayed around for several days despite the drought that we experienced.  Now I wait with baited breath to see it bloom again.  As I look at this picture my imagination is running wild. It reminds me of fireworks. I wish I knew the name of this flower. I continue to do my research.

Do you know the name of this flower? Did you plant new flowers in your garden this year?

It does resemble fireworks, how cool! Not much is blooming here, it was ten degrees the night before last, ugh!

So my imagination isn't too wild then Rosey!:) Ten degrees over there! I am here saying that it is chilly and it is 24oC!

We are in snow already so it was a real treat to see such a pretty flower in bloom! Great picture of your beautiful fireworks flower!

Hi Judy,
What a gorgeous flower! I thought it was a toy or something. You're right. It does look like fireworks. That is fascinating. The only thing that lasted in our garden were the fruits and that's because my husband took care of them.
Thank you for sharing on the Thumping Thursdays Blog Hop.

Sincerely,
Karina

I know very few flowers by sight. I wish I did. This one certainly is an interesting one.

I'm not sure of the name of it, but firecracker flower sounds good to me. :) It's so pretty.
Have a great day,
Lisa

It reminds me of fireworks too. What a beautiful bloom. I've not a clue what kind of flower it is though. I don't plant flowers at all. I'm not a garden person at all. It's just not my cup of tea.

Have a terrific day Judy. ☺

I hope I find out the name soon Sandee. Enjoy the rest of your day.

I don't think I've seen a flower like that here, but Jamaica has a lot more exotic and gorgeous flowers than we have in the states. Keeping my fingers crossed it blooms for you!

Unknown said...

I am also not that good at the names of flowers Cathy!

Unknown said...

I love the name firecracker flower Lisa T!:)

Unknown said...

Thanks Theresa! I really hope to see it bloom again.

It looks like a bloom of the NZ native pohutukawa tree--the New Zealand Christmas tree, because that's when it blooms. It's in the 'bottlebrush' family. Good luck!

Very interesting Betty! Thank you for sharing this information.

It's beautiful and kind of looks like a flower here (but actually I think it's a weed), I believe they call it the Queen's islet. Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful weekend.

Unfortunately it's too cold for any flower I know of so everything has gone dormant in my garden. I'm not that well versed in gardening though. That flower is lovely!
