Question Time

Every weekend I will have a blog post where I ask and answer questions.  It is a good way for readers to get to know more about me and also helps me to get feedback on a number of questions.  Have you ever received a gift and it amazes you the kind of effect it has had on you? Well, I got a necklace with an angel pendant and it has taken on a very special meaning to me. I wear it every chance I get especially if I find myself in a situation that needs strength.  It immediately brings to mind my departed identical twin sister Janine and brother Sutcliffe. These days I see them as angels watching over me. It also brings to mind the song Angels Watching Over Me by Amy Grant that my twin and I loved so much.  Below is the pendant:

As usual I am participating in Friendship Friday hosted by Create With Joy where the theme this week is My Favourite Things. My pendant certainly fits into this theme. What book you never tire of reading?  I can read inspirational books and magazines over and over. My Daily Word magazine is a must read for me every day and I will read parts of it several times a day.  What song do you never tire of hearing?  Again I love anything that is inspirational and once the song lifts my spirit, I will listen to it over and over.  The song I mentioned above is yet another of those songs. What movie do you never tire of watching?  Strangely enough I am not really a movie person but I would love one that makes me laugh a lot.

Yes, once we received a trip to Hawaii as a gift, and I was speechless. It was a fabulous 10 days.

Have a terrific day Judy. :)

I love that your gift brings you calm when you need it.

It sounds corny, but my gifts the kids made when they were little make me happy. My 25-yr old made me a frog in school that I still have out on display, and my 20-yr. old made a little whale (it's on the bookshelves too). And the other two are still in school, making things. Seeing those things always gives me an instant happy.

Have a happy Friday (it's almost the weekend, woo hoo!).

Thanks Rosey! I fully understand how much you treasure the gifts your children give you. It shows their love and how thoughtful they are. My mom treasures the gifts we have given her over the years. The days are certainly moving along. Have a great weekend.

I think about you and your sister all the time. You are so kind to provide some insight into your thoughts as well as those of your sisters. It helps to put some life into my son Alexander (identical twin that was lost).

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my Friendship Friday contribution.

Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a kind comment! I'm glad you can still feel the ones you love close to you even if they have gone to be with the Lord. It's always harder for the ones left behind. Take care and God bless!

Your necklace is lovely Judy! It's nice that you have a little token that can provide your strength when you most need it.

The gifts I like best are the ones that are from the heart. Handmade. I have several art works on my walls my girls have made and framed that I love to look at throughout the day.

Have a great weekend Judy!

Hi Judy! A friend gave me a necklace with a mustard seed in it. When I'm stressed or struggling, I wear it to remember that she cares and that God can do amazing things.

Love what your necklace stands for. :) I have my mom's wedding band.....it is precious to me.

Lovely necklace. One of the nicest gifts I received was a magnet from my sister. She gave it to me during a difficult time in my life. It says "You're really something do you know that? And in spite of whatever may happen in your day, you are going to stay that way, trying and giving and living life in the best way you know how. So keep your spirits up, and keep things in perspective. It's going to be okay." Ceal Carson
I have it propped up on my bathroom counter where I can see it every day.
