Question Time

A New Year is here and I have decided to have a blog post every weekend where I ask and answer questions. I think it is a good way for readers to get to know more about me and also for me to get feedback on a number of questions. Here is question No.1 Do you always make New Year's Resolutions?
Over the years I have made some New Year's Resolutions. In recent years they have usually been about ways to cope with the loss that I have faced, ways to increase my spirituality and faith, plans for my writing career and efforts to ensure good health. I do not always achieve some of them but while I do not think this is the end of the world I think it is worth the effort.

i dont always make resolutions either, sometimes you just forget or you are too busy, its not a crime to not make any. I am glad you have this feature, i like to learn more about the bloggers and to have a chance to talk with them even if it is a one-sided comment.

Thanks a lot for sharing your comments LunaMoth. I appreciate it and wish you all the very best for 2013!

I never make new years resolutions anymore. They never get kept so I'm just setting myself up for added stress and usually a big fat failure. It's just better for me not to go there.

Have a terrific day Judy. :)

I know what you mean Sandee! At times it can be stressful. I make them and work hard towards them but if I do not achieve them I do not let it bother me at all!:) Thanks for sharing your comments and enjoy the rest of your Friday.

Hi Judy. It's been a while that I've not visited your blog. Regarding to the question, I don't make New Year's Resolutions anymore, they don't get realized. I just enjoy my life right now by being busy of my own business regardless of what other people say.

I don't make resolutions either. Every year I make a list of HOPES instead. It seems more realistic that way. Hope you have a wonderful weekend, Judy!

I think of it more as a time to review ongoing goals, tweak them if needed, and make new ones. So they are sort of like resolutions but they're more ongoing I guess because I do review them throughout the year.

Those are good New Year's resolutions. I like the idea to answer questions about yourself once a week.

I've really gotten into resolutions the past few years because it's a time of reflection and time to think about the year ahead and what I want to accomplish. It's just the beginning for me.

Making resolutions every year and cheat on them is a common thing that every one does! I make one this year , I hope I could stick to it. But my dad told me that our mind changes day after day and minute after minute , so we would rarely be honest with our previous plans and thoughts!

Hi Judy - Happy New Year to you, following from the UK via Life in a Breakdown and Futures I love my post Blog Hop

No resolutions anymore, just goals that can be broken down into baby steps. Less daunting that way! I can celebrate little successes then instead of a massive failure :-)

No.
I usually make a plan on how I can be better at being a parent, wife and pursue my education.

I don't like the chain of 'resolution ' around my neck.

If that makes sense :)

Thanks for sharing your views Colette. One really has to approach resolutions carefully as things can turn out to be stressful. Take care and have a good weekend.

I guess I've always felt that while it's important to make goals for oneself, it shouldn't be warranted simply because of the new year.

Anytime of the year is a good time to set goals (resolutions), and to do so with your own timeline.

Have a very blessed New Year!

Thank you for linking up at this week’s Harvest of Friends Weekend Blog Hop.

I usually do not, but last year I made a list of quite a few. I accomplished all but one, and so that remaining one is my resolution for this year. :)

Good luck w/any you have created this year!

Great ?!! I don't usually make one resolution for the new year, but rather set goals I hope the achieve each month/day...usually small ones that in the end add up to a lot. My resolution last year was to take one day at a time rather that focus so much on the year in full. It's amazing what a difference a day can make! :) I wish you and your family a beautiful year ahead filled with many blessed days!! Xoxox

I've never really made a resolution before this year. My goal is to stay on top of my To Do list.

What is your resolution this year?

Unknown said...

I wish you all the very best with your goal Camille. While I have a number of resolutions a very important one is to take my writing career further. Have a good day.

Thanks mail4rosey! All the very best with your resolution for this year.

Hi Maria,
I also make more than one resolution. I like how you set out to achieve your goals. Thanks for sharing your comments on this question. I wish you a great year my friend and I am so happy that this is going to be such a special year for you. Love & Friendship always.
