Favourite Drink & Special Glass

It is summer and the heat is on! Orange juice has always been a favourite for Janine and me with Pineapple juice coming a close second. Recently I enjoyed the orange juice in the glass above. My mother bought this glass 60 years ago!  I will now allow it to remain as a special glass. I would not want to be the one to break it!

I bet your orange juice tasted so much more special from this beautiful glass. I love using old things, it just makes me feel good to touch them. I also worry about breaking them but I love to use them anyway. Thank you for sharing at Freedom Fridays.

It's really an interesting glass. I wonder where it was produced. Looks similar to some glassware my grandmother had. Gail (BibleLoveNotes.com)

Thank you so much Maria! Yes, these old time glasses are so lovely. The glass is also thicker than many I have now. Nevertheless I am very careful with it!:)I note that you also had chicken yesterday. I certainly enjoyed the jerk chicken. Take very good care of yourself and I wish you and Steve a wonderful weekend. Lots of Love, Friendship and Best Wishes always.

That really is special. I doubt very much that I'll have a glass as old as that to pass on to my daughter, they last 6 months with me.

Have a good weekend

Love the glasses!

Ohhhh I love that glass! It's a good idea to save it as a special glass though. I had some vintage ice cream bowls from my grandmother which I used until guess what? They became a bit damaged. No I just keep them to "remember".

Thanks for sharing on my "NO RULES Weekend Blog Party"!!

Cute glass and story behind it. :) You must take great care of your things because they have lasted so long!! I only have one thing that's lasted a long time, a rocking chair that I used as a child, and my mother used when she was a child.

Unknown said...

Thanks Camille! We have so many things here at home that have lasted very long. My mom has things from her school days, wedding day etc. Enjoy the rest of the week and my best wishes to you.
