WHAT DO YOU COLLECT?!

Janine and I have been big bird enthusiasts over the years.  Above is a picture of some figurines that we have had on a shelf for many years.  I am also glad that I have a huge collection in a display unit to remember the shared love we have had for our feathered friends. You can see a picture of this collection in an earlier post - BIRD FIGURINE COLLECTION.  I remember how happy we always were when we got another figurine. Some were bought and some came from  relatives, friends and pen-pals. As a matter of fact some travelled many miles to get to us!:)  Are you an avid collector of any item?  I would be interested to hear about it!

Well no doubt my biggest collection would be my Yorkie collection of figurines, prints, stuffys, etc.

Love your bird collection. Nice memory of you collecting them together.

Thanks for the follow--I'm following back. My biggest collection to date is books. I recently downsized as we have moved to a much smaller house. I let go of 50 boxes of books. It was hard, but I did it. Now I'm trying not replace them, but it's hard! LOL! My biggest weakness is cook books!

Hello MissMOE,
Thank you for also becoming a Follower of my Blog. It is good to have a collection of books. Some books are very hard to let go!:) Take care.

Nice collections you've got there Judy. I'm not much of a collector, but my kids collects shells and stones. I'm keeping them because we want to build a special shelf for their collections.

Unknown said...

Hello there Nekky,
A good Friday to you. It is interesting that your children collect shells and stones. Oh yes, do build a special shelf for them. I remember visiting a hotel in Jamaica and there was a glass display unit with a collection of shells and it looked so beautiful. My mom says when she was a young girl she used to collect shells. Take care.

I used to collect stamps before back in grade school but gave up as I got bored with meticulously scraping off stamps from mailed envelopes. I do have plans of collecting weird mugs when I can afford to move in to my own house.

Unknown said...

Hi Itin,
Janine and I used to collect stamps when we were in high school. After that we mainly collected stamps featuring birds and even put some in albums. However I really don't collect them now.I hope you will get to start your collection of mugs in the not too distant future. Take care and enjoy your weekend.

I love your bird collections...I'm sure each one holds a special place in your heart :) I don't really collect anything...I wish I did though. Actually I wouldn't necessarily call it a collection, but I get a small piece of jewelry (nothing expensive) from every trip we go on. I love reminiscing about a particular trip every time I wear the necklace or earrings.

Unknown said...

Thank you very much Candice. I like your idea of buying a piece of jewellery whenever you go on a trip. Take care and have a good week.
