Question Time

Every weekend I will have a blog post where I ask and answer questions.  It is a good way for readers to get to know more about me and also helps me to get feedback on a number of questions.   Which items fascinate you although you do not collect them? I love seeing teapots even though I do not drink tea.  My mom has several beautiful teapots.   She got this one over 65 years ago as a wedding gift.  I rarely go near it as I wouldn't want to be the one to break it!

Here is one that she has had for over 30 years.  I like the shape and it features my favourite flowers, roses.

As usual I am participating in Friendship Friday hosted by Create With Joy where the theme this week is Something Random.

I am so fascinated by my mom's teapots Unknown. She says there was a time when she could hardly pass a teapot and not buy it!

Hi Judy,
I am coming to your site for the first time, from the friday fun bloghop.
I really love your site and am following. I really love the teapots, it reminds me of my grandmother, soft and gentle and always a cup of tea properly made in a teapot.
I hope that if you have time you will visit me at http://www.wabyerley@blogspot.com, you nwill be most welcome.
I hope that you have a wonderful day and weekend.
Great big hug.
Love and best wishes.
Anne

The pattern on the second teapot is exactly the same as I had on a china tea set w/cabinet that our neighbor gave me as a girl. I wonder whatever happened to it. :)

They're both very pretty pots.

Thanks Rosey! I like the patterns on these teapots. I notice that roses are on several teapots. My favourite flowers!:) Have a great weekend.

I don't seem to have a fascination with anything at the moment. Well maybe boats. I saw one yesterday that I would have loved to have. It was a 48 foot Sea Ray Sundancer. It was beautiful. I can't afford one though.

Have a terrific day. :)

I know how much you love boats Sandee. I have seen some beautiful ones. Have a great time on your boat this weekend.

Hi Judy,

I found you blog through the Everyday Harvest blog hop. I love you site and am now a follower :)
The teapots are beautiful. I have several from my grandmother that I never use. Isn't it funny how there are still things we can consider to good or special to use? Anyway, my blog is miniaddictions.blogspot.com & it's about dollhouses & miniatures if you'd like to check it out.
Have a great weekend,
Lisa

Hi,
Like I said, I love tea pots, but the things that I can't resist, that I collect wherever I go, much to my husbands desgust, as they take up lots of room is teddy bears. I not only buy them, but I also make them.
I hope that you have a wonderful Sunday and week ahead. Great big hugs. Love and best wishes. Anne

I can just imagine how lovely your teddy bear collection is Anne! I have seen so many beautiful teddy bears over the years. It is great that you can make them too! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

I'm fascinated by knives. However I do not collect them. Of course books comes first.

Those are interesting teapots. I'd stay away too :)

And I love tea. Green tea.

Unknown said...

Books are a wonderful collection to have Colette! I should be drinking green tea as I hear it is good for one's health.

I am back from my little hiatus and want to thank you for visiting while I was away. Now, I think teapots are rather beautiful items, too. I do not own one nor do I collect them. I guess I'm too practical and these fine breakable pieces would be just one more thing for me to ruin somehow.

I am glad you are back Cathy! Thanks for stopping by and sharing your comments.
