Delicious Sugar Loaf Pineapple - Creative Monday Blog Hop

On my tropical island it is always great to have my favourite fruit as the days get hot.  For some time I have only been enjoying pineapple slices sold in tins. Come to think of it, I can't recall eating home grown pineapple in years!  I was therefore thrilled to eat some slices of my favourite species,Sugar loaf, recently.

When the pineapple was real ripe we peeled it and then cut it in slices.  After that it was placed in the refrigerator.
I am not able to cut it in the fancy designs that I have seen over the years. However it was very sweet and my family enjoyed it.  We certainly won't wait long to eat another one!

Hi Judy! I love pineapples, but for some reason pineapples don't love me back, I get kind of ill when I eat the fruit itself...not much if the dessert has a hint of it...oh no big deal, because one in a while like you say, it's just good to have 1 slice in a hot summer day! Have a great weekend!, Lizy

Hello Judy
I've just joined your Creative Monday Blog Hop for the first time.
I'm now following your blog and I look forward to being part of your blogging journey and hope you will pop over and say hello to me as well.
I live thousands of miles away on the other side of the world in New Zealand but thankfully distance isn't an issue for blogging!

There are pineapples in the shops here and they come from your part of the world - too expensive to buy at the mo!!!

Thank you for hosting this lovely party - I'll try and visit as many blogs as I can.
hugs
Shane ♥

I am not sure how I happened upon your blog, but I am glad I did. I have a special love for Jamaica having spent 18 months living and teaching in Walderston, Manchester and Port Maria. Our first child was born in Kingston in 1975. We have not returned, but hope to someday.

I will be back to read more and learn about where you live.

Guess what Maria? We have another pineapple here at home. I can't wait to eat some more slices. I have also been enjoying pineapple juice. I love pineapple on pizza and usually order one that has it as a topping.
