My family and I love potato salad and are always willing to try new recipes. This past Christmas we tried this one.
Ingredients
6 Irish Potatoes
cubed
1 big onion, chopped
Salt to taste
Black pepper
1/2 cup of raisins
1/2 cup mayonnaisse
Directions
1.Add a teaspoon of
salt in 6 cups of water and bring to a boil.
2.Boil potatoes for
about 20 minutes.
3.Drain the water off.
4.Add the onion, black
pepper, raisins and mayonnaise, then toss.
5.Spoon into a bowl and
place in the refrigerator for about 2 hours.

I've never had potato salad with raisins. I'm guessing that you liked it very much or you wouldn't have posted it. I would have never thought to put raisins in potato salad.

I love to cook, but I have never made homemade potato salad before. I have never heard of putting raisins in it. How did you like it?
