CREATIVE THURSDAY BLOG HOP

Creative Thursday is a hop where you can add all of your creative posts.Hosted by Clairejustineoxox and JUDY H-J'S THOUGHTS - A TWINLESS TWIN it is a hop to share fun things you have been doing. Over the next few weeks our theme will be Christmas but as usual you can link any creative posts to the hop. So one question, what has gotten you creative this week? Please join us and hop around to see what everyone else has been doing this week and remember you can add as many posts as you like...

CROCHETING - ONE OF OUR HOBBIES
With Christmas fast approaching  we will soon wash, starch and iron the many crochet pieces we plan to use this year.  Janine and I crocheted a variety of things over the years - centrepieces, three piece table sets, runners, chairbacks and armrests.  We made them for our home, to give as gifts and for sale. Oh, I can't forget the tablecloth that we both worked on. I worked for awhile and then Janine took over!  We would start early in the morning and crochet for hours just taking a few breaks in order to meet a deadline that we set.
While we crocheted we sat together chatting and listening to music or talkshows.  Sadly I have not crocheted anything since Janine's death. I would like to crochet some things again in the future. I may not have a lot of time as before but at least I could take my time and finish various projects.
Below are some of the pieces that we will use this holiday season:
SMALL CURTAIN DECORATION
CENTREPIECE
  ARMRESTS & CHAIRBACK

This post made me smile. My grandmother used to make these for all the couches and armchairs. I always loved them so.

Have a terrific day. :)

omygoodness, judy!! you both have so much talent!!
i LOVE those centerpieces and furniture pieces. they are gorgeous and so detailed. i love the bright yellow too!
i do hope you'll be able to crochet again and find peace and relaxation in it.

i am watching a christmas movie right now about a boy who lost his mother when he was ten. before she passed, she wrote cards to him for each milestone in his life. and had his father give them to him when the time came. the card he just read had a message that - no matter what you do, "DO WHAT YOU LOVE!"
of course, i got teary eyed. it's such a simple message but yet so touching and true.

My wish for you is to do what you love, judy!!
lots of love always!!
XOXOXOXO
