Cocos In My Soup - Creative Monday Blog Hop

    What do you cook in your soup?  Cocos is a  must whenever I cook soup. Originally from the  Pacific region coco is a starchy tuber that can be found in tropical countries. After being reaped they are peeled and then put in soup to be cooked for about 1 hour. They help to thicken the soup.

Question Time

    Every weekend I will have a blog post where I ask and answer questions.  It is a good way for readers to get to know more about me and also help me to get feedback on a number of questions. Today I answer Question 7 asked by Jamie from Love Bakes Good Cakes who passed on the Liebster award to me. What is your favourite colour?  I like a variety of colours but I would say my favourite colour is blue. Bird Figurine Series - # 28

     Recently I turned on my television to watch one of my favourite music programmes and it was not on. Nevertheless I was happy to see a show featuring animated penguins. Unfortunately it was almost at the end of the show but I enjoyed the very short moment. Then March arrived and the picture on my Australian calendar features many Emperor Penguins. Janine and I have always been fascinated with these birds especially the way they walk. Over the years we received a few small penguin figurines but last Christmas it was a special thrill to receive this one from my cousin Christine who lives in Australia. It looks so real!  Love it!

A Second Blog Anniversary - Creative Monday Linky

    
     Time really flies. I can't believe that March 4 marks the second anniversary of my Blog. I am enjoying every moment as a blogger. I will always remember a quotation by Lord Byron that I once had at the top of my blog "To have joy one must share it. Happiness was born a twin."  As I celebrate this milestone I decided to have some fun with a few of the cards that my mother received when Janine and I were born and celebrated our 1st birthday.  Mom has always had scrapbooks with cards she received on special occasions.  It is a trait that Janine and I inherited.

    I am truly grateful to all the persons who have supported me by Following my blog, reading and sharing comments.  So look out!

I also think I am reserved and share a lot of her values.

    What is your favourite breed of dog?  My pets have always been dogs over the years and I am hardly without a fox terrier.
    What is your favourite dog book/movie? I do not think I have a favourite one. However I can't forget the television show 'Lassie.'

    Janine and I were so thrilled when these small bird figurines arrived all the way from France many years ago. The advantage of having birds of this size is that it has not been difficult to find space for them in our packed display unit.
